Brandon Bomsta

Hey Guys,

Wow, 10 years passed way too fast. I wanted to make it to the reunion but couldn't get away. It has been good reading the posts on here and being able to see what some of you have been up to. 10 years is too much to fit into a paragraph, but here goes. I went on a mission to Brazil in 98, went to Ricks College, then BYU where I met my wife Tanya. We were married in 02 and now have 2 daughters, Evelyn, 3, and Brielle, 2. Tanya graduated with a BA in English and has spent the little time she has left after chasing our little squirts and taking care of me working as a librarian, waitress, stamp demonstrator, class instructor at the YMCA, ect. (anything to help us earn a little money). I've turned into a bum. I am still in school and have quite a bit more to do before I finish. I am a student of Des Moines University, but am living in Dayton, Ohio where I will be doing my rotations (last two years of medical school). I still don't have any idea what field of medicine I want to go into, but hopefully these clinical years will help with that. Best wishes to everyone.

Toby lives in Newark OH which is about 30 or 40 miles east of columbus. Apparently there are quite a few Bear Lakers that live in OHIO. Ben Olsen, Calin Passey (last I heard) Let me know if you would like his number. Ask you wife is she will sell me some research papers. haha

Hey B.
Glad med school is going well. One of my friends just left for his residency in Nebraska, and we have neighbors that just moved here from baltimore for his surgery residency. Do you have any idea where you want to go? Denver rocks. Come here.
I'm not working right now which is great. We have our business that we started and it is really taking off. I would like to start a community corrections facility some day, but that takes money. It is definitely in our future plans though. What's your email address? I keep in pretty good contact with Matt through email. Apparently he was a bloomington lake last weekend and ran into shelly and tom. What are the odds.
I guess our parents are neighbors now, so i'm sure we will cross paths during christmas.

Brandon,
Your family is beautiful! Radiology is a good field if you want to have a family life and be a doctor. ;) That's what my husband's doing. Good luck with your rotations! I agree with Tag - Denver rocks. Move there. I miss it and would go back in a heartbeat.

Brandon,
Okay so I am a little slow on the whole blogging thing. (hopefully you will still check this!) We only live 2 1/2 hours from you!! It would be so fun to get our families together. Email me joeyates@wmconnect.com
I had no idea so many of us lived over here.I would totally make a trip to Ohio to see a few hometown faces. I still get homesick even after 4 years of being in Kentucky!

Tag- Glad you like denver so much. I would like to go back west, but Tanya is not so keen on the idea. That is cool that you guys started your own business. Hope you make lots of green. My email is bomsta@gmail.com. Yours? What has Matt been up to. Still cruising around on his bike? I emailed Jared a few weeks ago and still haven't heard from him. I found his myspace page and he excepted me as a friend so that is good, but still haven't heard from him. Yeah, I guess your mom and Jerry lived at my parents house while there renovations were being done. Did you know your parents were the only bear lakers at my wedding, besides my parents and Bart Thomas.

Jessica Eborn- Thanks for the advice. I actually like looking at films, I loved Anatomy. How far along is your hubby? I lived in Colorado before moving to BL. I really liked climbing there. Glad to see you're doing so well.

Jess T- Wow, what a family. Looks like you guys have a bunch of little heart breakers. Did Joe buy a shotgun yet? How is he doing? What are you up to beside chase. I haven't heard from Chad in so long. Every time I see him we exchange email address and then always lose them before we get to a computer. What is his email. Also, how are Shawn, Daniel, and Dave? Good to hear from you. B

Hey Brandon,

I did wrestle at the Academy for 2 years and in that time I had 3 more shoulder surgeries and my knee rebuilt so I decided to retire, although I worked in the recruiting office of our team after that. I also worked on a little judo during that time too. I would like to volunteer coach sometime when I have a little time.

My dad is the Superintendent in Morgan, UT and he is getting excited to retire soon and go on a mission.

Tim married Leslie Martinez, no surprise, and the both work in education in Houston, TX. Leslie teaches and Tim just moved into administration.
